About

Throughout my college and professional career I have always had a love for learning. This love of learning has helped me greatly over the years as I am always excited to meet new people and study new things. If you would like to learn more about me, keeping reading or get in touch.

My Experiences

The following is an outline of my current and past work experience and how I have grown and developed through the roles to make me the developer that I am today.

Fast Enterprises

March 2020 - Present

Hired into the Massachusetts Department of Revenue Tax Project

Year 1 - Data Implementation Consultant

Supported the Data Warehouse team in expanding and maintaining the sites external mail systems, expanded the data analysis capabilities of the system, and aided the sites yearly documentation and configuration overhaul.

Year 2

Regularly assisted the client with updating and creating new reporting systems to allow for more accurate and efficient review of data. Worked on several projects throughout the year to create or update systems used for analysis as well as larger core system improvements.

Year 3

Worked on the creation of new data processing systems from scratch to integrate with current file storage systems. Led Software Developer classes for client developers on good coding practices and development standards. Periodically took on team lead role during absences or transition periods. Worked autonomously on several Data Warehouse and Analysis related projects.

My Projects

Covid Data Analysis: May - Dec 2020

I graduated during the peak time of Covid, and during that time I felt there was a lack of interactive visualizations of Covid data. Post graduation I worked on a personal project focusing on fixing this issue. I developed the application using the Python programming language, Streamlit for the user interface, and Plotly for plotting the data. I later hosted the application on Heroku and created an automated script to regularly update the dataset using a RaspberryPi. This project helped teach me many of the struggles of working on projects from scratch and how to leverage my resources and research solutions for any problems I come across.

Traffic Sign Image Recognition: Jan - May 2019

My final project for a Machine Learning course involved creating a system to identify Traffic Sign images and classify them. I used the Python programming language and the Keras and Tensorflow libraries to create a Convolutional Neural Network that the images would be processed through. Due to lack of available datasets of US traffic signs I used a program to scrape images and format them to create a small dataset, and then conducted Data Augmentation to further increase the size of the dataset. This project was incredibly helpful with teaching me the intricacies of working with Machine Learning and how to go about improving data models in the future.
